The son of the late Rudolph Waclaw and Eugenia Gierat Waclaw, Robert was born on June 1, 1938 in LaSalle, IL and was raised and educated in Illinois.

He was united in marriage to Theresa Rauworth on July 3, 1976.

Robert enjoyed fishing and was an avid watcher of sports center & the history channel on TV.

He had worked as a welder for many years, retiring from Jim’s Pipe Yard. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, having served in the Philippians during the end of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife Theresa of the home; three children, Daniel Filip and his wife Cynthia, Anthony Filip and Mike Hinz; one sister Kathy Trump; 7 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Erewel and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alan and Jerry and one son, Christopher Rauworth.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at 2 P.M. in the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Ted Uhlig, pastor, officiating.

The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.
