(Stillwater, Okla.) — On Monday, Stillwater police became aware of threats
posted on Facebook Live by three juveniles, two of whom are current students
and one was a former student, Captain Kyle Gibbs said in a news release
today.
The juveniles, age 15 and 16, were observed streaming live videos that
contained threats directed toward school administrators and a school
resource officer, the police news release said.
In one of the videos, a juvenile was holding what appeared to be a real
handgun, the police news release said.
The three juveniles were subsequently arrested for the threats and
violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, the police news release said.
School officials have cooperated fully with the Stillwater Police
Department and are conducting their own internal inquiry, the police news
release said.
The case has been forwarded to the Payne County District Attorney and
the Office of Oklahoma Juvenile Services, the news release said.
