(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man was charged this afternoon with possessing methamphetamine and hydrocodone within 1,000 feet of Wilson Elementary School today.
Johnathan Michael Watkins, 32, who was also charged with being intoxicated in the 1100 block of E. Second Street today, was arraigned this afternoon from the Payne County Jail.
Watkins was ordered held on $7,500 bond and told to appear in court with an attorney on Sept. 11 on the two-count charge. If convicted on his felony drug charge, Watkins could be incarcerated for 20 years and fined $10,000.
Four years ago, Watkins was charged with breaking into a house in the 1200 block of E. Maple Street in Cushing and pawning two rifles, along with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, court records show.
In that case, Watkins was placed on three years’ probation in 2009 and ordered to follow all the treatment recommendations contained in a background report for the court. He was also ordered to pay $550 in fines and assessments, court records show.
