Michael Roy Cockriel, born July 1, 1964, to Charles and Renate Cockriel in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, departed this life on June 12, 2026, at the age of 61.

Michael was a current resident of Ripley, Oklahoma, where he proudly served in the maintenance department for the City of Ripley. He was known for his outgoing personality, his easy smile, and the way he never met a stranger. Michael loved people deeply and genuinely, and he carried that warmth into every part of his life.

He enjoyed the simple joys that made life rich, fishing on quiet days and spending time with his family, who were the center of his world.

Michael is survived by his three children: Ashton Wilson and husband Kyle, Kirsten Cockriel, and Christopher Cockriel; one sister, Sandra Perman; and four grandchildren who brought him endless joy: Asher Anderson, Milo Anderson, Parker Anderson, and Cooper Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Andy Cockriel; and one sister, Lisa Stewart.

Michael’s presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2026, in the Chapel of the Matherly Davis Funeral Home.
