Jerry Doak Cushing, OK

Jerry Cledith Doak, 84, of Cushing, Oklahoma, passed away on December 9, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1941, to Charles Wesley and Gladys Mae Doak in Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Jerry graduated from Wetumka High School in 1959 and later married Ann Walters on April 11, 1964. Together they shared many years of love and family until Ann’s passing in May 2007.

Known for his love of fishing and his talent for tinkering in the shop, Jerry had a gift for fixing just about anything. His hands were never idle, and his resourcefulness was admired by all who knew him.

He is survived by his three children, Lisa Ward, Steve Ward, and Jerry Doak Jr.; two brothers, Gerald Doak and Mark Doak; four grandchildren, Keri Romans, Lori Ward, Jerrod Ward, and Jacob Tyler Doak; and numerous great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Ann, one brother, Bob Doak, and one sister, Nina Souleret.

There will be a memorial/celebration of life on December 21st, 10:00 am, with lunch to follow, at Fechner’s event center, 1402 N. Little Ave., Cushing OK. Please RSVP so we can make sure to have enough.
