Barbara (Barb, Bobbie) S Hodges Longmont, Colorado

Barbara (Barb, Bobbie) S Hodges was born on July 11, 1937, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Marvin and Ella O’Kelley. She grew up around the Cushing area.  Barbara passed from this life on April 4, 2026 in Longmont, Colorado.

After graduating from Cushing High School in 1955, Barb moved to Salina, Kansas,where she attended business school and met the love of her life, Kin Hodges. They married on July 26, 1959, and built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work.

In 1964, Kin’s Air Force career brought the family to F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Cheyenne quickly became home. Barb spent many years caring for children as a daycare provider and later worked as a Singer Sewing Machine sales manager and teacher, sharing her love of sewing with the community. Most of their
years were spent in Cheyenne, until they moved to Oklahoma in 2005.

Barb moved to Colorado in 2013 to be closer to family. She loved teaching her great-granddaughters to sew and crochet, passing down skills she treasured.

Barb’s Christian faith guided her throughout her life. She found joy in simple moments—sharing stories, crafting, and spending time with the people she loved.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ella O’Kelley, and her siblings Kenneth O’Kelley, Marvin O’Kelley Jr., Wayland O’Kelley, Valda Butler, and Howard “Pete” O’Kelley.

She is survived by her children, Kinnetha (Mitch) Dunn of Longmont CO and Rick (Lori) Hodges of Kellyville OK; her grandchildren Jenette (Tylar) Keese, Aaron Dunn, Leslie (Kyle) Wrobetz, Tabitha (Brian) Steele, Felicia Hodges, and Lucy Hodges; and her great-grandchildren Dayna Dunn, Ayriel Dunn, Brianna Keese, Addison Keese, Madoc
Wrobetz, Matthew Steele, Eric Steele, and Haven Dunn.

A celebration of life will be held in July. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local senior or hospice center or the American Heart Association.
