(Cushing, Okla.) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a collision happened Thanksgiving morning around 11:36 (am) on Norfolk Road (4.2 miles south of the City of Yale) in Payne County.
Kimberly Denise King (52) of Yale was driving a 2001 Mercury Utility Southbound on Norfolk Road when for some unknown reason the Mercury departed the roadway to the right colliding with a creek embankment.
King was transported by Air Evac to St John’s Hospital (Tulsa) where she was admitted in fair condition with head, leg and trunk internal injuries.
Seat-belts were not in use, and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
