(Cushing, Okla.) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reported that there was a traffic accident this afternoon (February 10, 2015) on Eagle Road ½ mile south of State Highway 51 about 12:23 (pm). The accident occurred about 2 miles east of Yale’s City Limits in Payne County.
William Heisler (16) of Yale was driving a 1991 Ford Escape northbound on Eagle Road, when he lost control of the vehicle and it began to fishtail, the Ford then went into a broad slide, and departed the roadway to the right, rolling one time, and coming to rest on its wheels.
Heisler and his passenger Dominic Morgan (18) also of Yale were both transported by ambulance to Stillwater Medical Center in fair condition with multiple injuries. Morgan was ejected about 10 feet from the vehicle’s point of rest.
Seat-belts were not in use and unsafe speed is reported o be the cause of the collision.
