(Cushing, Okla.) The Yale Fire Department on April 13th and 14th (2015) held fire service training, “Calling the Mayday.”
The eight hour course was offered through OSU Fire Service Training, and was led by Fire Captain Danny Caldwell (retired) from Tulsa, Oklahoma and Fire Captain Terry Blackburn of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
The fire service training was free to the 13 firefighters who attended from two different Payne County departments and one Pawnee County department.
The purpose of the fire service training was to help firefighters learn how to define and deal with a Mayday situation.
This was the third class hosted by the Yale Fire Department. A fourth class is scheduled for May 2 (2015).
