Two candidates for the Yale City Commission have advanced to the general election next month. Tom Mendenhall received the largest number of votes, but did not receive more than fifty per cent to avoid a runoff. Mendenhall will face Pat Hielmann who recieved 32 per cent of the total vote.

The general election is April 2nd.

Unofficial Results From the Payne County Election Board:

Pat Hielmann: 79 votes, 32 percent

Tom Mendenhall: 116 votes, 47 percent

Jim Crenshaw 52, 21.1 percent

The results become official when certified by the Payne County Election Board on Friday.
