(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 29-year-old woman from Rolla, Missouri, has been jailed on $7,500 bail pending an Oct. 7 court appearance on a Payne County charge of possessing a stolen 2008 Chevrolet that was found in the Cushing Walmart parking lot, court records show.

Jordon Krystle Taylor could be imprisoned for one to five years and fined $500 to $5,000 if convicted of possessing a stolen vehicle, court records show.

Taylor was arrested at 1:03 p.m. on Sept. 13 in the store’s parking lot by Cushing Police Officer Garvis Thomas.

Taylor “had the key in her hand that belonged to the car,” the affidavit alleged.

“Taylor stated, ‘he should not have left the key on the table,” the affidavit alleged.

“Taylor advised she would not get into the police car because I did not have the authority to arrest her,” the Cushing officer wrote in his affidavit.

“Taylor was placed inside the car and transported to the Cushing Police Department’s jail,” the affidavit said.

“Upon arrival to the jail, Taylor advised she was having a seizure. Medical (staff) arrived and advised she was not having a seizure,” the affidavit said.

The Cushing officer had been sent to the Walmart parking lot at 12:45 p.m. to try to locate a stolen vehicle, the affidavit said.

When the vehicle was spotted, “While standing by the car, a white male kept walking by us looking at the car,” the Cushing officer wrote in his affidavit.

The man said “a female picked him up in the car and gave him a ride,” the affidavit alleged.

He “described the female as wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and (having) blonde/black hair,” the affidavit alleged.

The man was arrested for a city of Cushing outstanding warrant, the affidavit said.

While the officer was looking for the woman inside Walmart, Cushing Police Officer Alex Gegen “advised he had the female by the car in investigative detention,” the affidavit said. “Officer Gegen advised the female attempted to get in the car,” the affidavit alleged.
