(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 34-year-old Enid woman was arraigned today from the Payne County Jail on charges of drunk driving a Nissan Murano at Little Avenue and Main Street in Cushing while transporting two children, ages 7 and 9, failing to remain stopped at the intersection while the light was still red, and having an opened container of alcohol in her car, all on Tuesday.

Cara Genea Martin was ordered held on $10,000 bail pending an April 18 court appearance with an attorney on the four-count charge.

If convicted of all counts, Martin could be incarcerated for nine years, six months and 10 days plus given total fines of $8,500, according to the charge filed today by prosecutor Debra Vincent.

At the time of her arrest in Cushing, Martin was already on 18 months’ probation under a deferred sentence given her three months ago for a misdemeanor drunk driving charge in Garfield County, court records show.
