(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 34-year-old woman was charged this week with assaulting a man in Perkins by breaking out the rear window of his truck with a hatchet while he was sitting in the driver’s seat on April 29.

Rose Mary McHenry, 34, was arraigned Tuesday on the felony charge and ordered to return to court on June 4 with an attorney, court records show.

McHenry had been released on $5,000 bond on April 30 with the condition that she have no contact with her alleged victim, court records show.

Although she was listed on the charge as living in Perkins, her application for a court-appointed attorney showed her address as located in Ponca City.

In addition to the felony assault count, McHenry was also charged with a misdemeanor count of injuring the man’s pickup by breaking out the rear window with a hatchet on April 29.

If convicted of both counts, McHenry could be incarcerated for 11 years, court records show.
