The Lachenmeyer Arts Center is pleased to announce the winners of the 20th Annual Juried Art Show held in conjunction with the Festival in the Park. This yearʼs juror was Dale Martin, PSA. Dale Martin has been designated a Master Pastelist by the Pastel Society of America. He is a signature member of that society as well as of the Pastel Society of the West Coast and Knickerbocker Artists. The Best of Show Award went to Pawnee sculptor Jim Scorse for a large metal sculpture of an eagle. In the two dimensional on canvas category 1st Place went to to Rory Morgan of Edmond for his acrylic painting. 2nd Place went to Skip Thompson of Asher while Sandy Ingram of Konawa took 3rd Place. Both Skip and Sandy work with oil paint. In the two dimensional works on paper category the 1st Place winner was Ponca City artist Elaine Armstrong. 2nd Place went to Shelia Minnich of Midwest City. 3rd Place went to LaVern Scott of Enid. All three artists exhibited watercolors. In the three dimensional category which includes pottery, baskets, jewelry, turned wood and sculpture the 1st Place winner was McAlester potter Yusuf Etudaiye. The 2nd Place award went to Ken Hager of Tulsa who works with turned wood. Third Place went to Sandy Wilkerson of Terlton for her woven baskets. The Dale Martin Artist Choice Award was awarded to Ken Hager, a wood turner from Tulsa.
