Wilson “Dub” Morton Kimbrell, age 84 of Cushing, passed away on Sundaymorning, August 24, 2014 at his home in Cushing.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014 at theOak Grove Baptist Church, Cushing, Ok. Rev. Mike Murray and Rev. George Brockwill officiate. Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

 

Dub was born on July 23, 1930 in McAlester, Oklahoma to the lateWilson B. and Ruth Alveta (Patty) Kimbrell. Dub grew up and attendedschool in McAlester. He married the love of his life on February 7, 1975in Bentonville, Arkansas. They made their home in the Cushing/Drumrightarea since 1980. Dub worked as a ranch hand and farmer most of his life.He enjoyed fishing, riding horses and watching classic western films.They loved spending time with their grandchildren. He also liked visitingwith his friends and neighbors.

Survivors include his wife Kathy of the home, his children Larry Kimbrell ofSan Diego, Ca, Janice Campbell of Tulsa, Brian Dover and wife Debbie of Cushing,Donna Huntley and husband Jim of Bentonville, Ar., Clarissa Hockenbury and DavidDick of Ponca City, Jon Kimbrell and wife Jenna of DeWitt, Ar., Sarah Brownand husband Johnnie of Hominy, Misty Chestnut and husband Jody of Drumright,Samantha Kimbrell of Denver, Co., sisters Violet Giaudrone and husband Jack ofMcAlester, Marilyn Timmons of McAlester, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren,and great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Judy Murphy, son Billy Kimbrell,three sisters Billie, Lena Bell and Patsy, brother Alton.
