Thursday, February 20 – author, Saundra Arnold, will make a visit to Harmony at 1:00 p.m. Arnold is the author of the book, My Friend Isaac.
Friday, February 21 – Dr. Davis and staff from Davis Dental will be visiting students to discuss ‘Dental Health Month.’
February 24 – 28 is Seuss Week!
Monday: “Speak for the Trees,” Lorax Day. We will wear camo this day.
Tuesday: “You Animal,” Thidwick, the Big Hearted Moose Day. We will wear as many hats as possible and a shirt with animal print.
Wednesday: “Wubbulous Word,” Dr. Seuss’s ABC/On Beyond Zebra Day. We will wear black & white or an animal print.
Thursday: “Outrageous Oozy Oobleck,” Bartholomew and the Oobleck Day. We will wear our ‘Don’t Bug Me!’ shirts or a neon color.
Friday: “Tongue Twisters,” Oh, Say, Can You Say?/Fox in Socks Day. We will wear red and white in honor of Dr. Seuss.
Throughout this week, there will be guest readers in the classes to read for the students.
The 5th graders will also perform their ‘Penny Arcade’ productions to classes. Penny Arcades are when students have researched an individual. They dress as that character and present their autobiography’ to younger students.
