Wendi Jean Honeybuss, age 56, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on June 1, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Cushing.  Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Wendi was born on November 9, 1953 in Oklahoma City to the late Benjamin Honeybuss Jr. and Maezelle Jr. (Edwards) Honeybuss.  She was also raised by her step-father Rufus C. Conley.  Wendi grew up in Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School in 1970.  She attended O.S.U. and Langston University.  Wendi worked as a secretary for O.S.U. for a number of years.   She loved spending time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   She enjoyed making crafts and watching horror movies.  Wendi was a fan of the Lakers and liked watching them whenever they played.

She loved to shop and buy gifts for others.  She was a member of the Greater Cleaves CME Methodist Church.

Survivors include her brother Benjamin Honeybuss III of Oklahoma City , daughter Stormi Honeybuss and finance Julio Vasquez Jr. of Cushing, brother Vincente Conley of Cushing, grandchildren London, Paris and England Honeybuss, Asia Gist, Nieces and nephews Sunni Honeybuss, Cimitri, Jai, Autumn and Summer Conley, friends Inetta Liggins, Cleo Lane, Denise Hayes and Helen Bray.

She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Honeybuss Jr. and Maezelle Jr. Edwards Honeybuss, step-father Rufus Conley.
