It was a standing ovation for the superb entertainment of versatile local musician, Monty Waldron at the Cushing Lion’s Club annual Valentine’s Banquet, held at the decorated Lion’s Den Tuesday evening.  Waldron’s program followed a superb meal served to a crowd of over 50.


Performing on mandolin, violin, acoustic and electric guitars, singing solo and as a duet with local talent, Rosie Cox, Waldron ‘wowed’ the Lions and their guests with music from Bach to Rock, Hebrew to Spanish and even a little ‘Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue’.  Waldron added humor, banter and even an Irish blessing, providing a memorable night for all.
