(Cushing, Okla.) At a special meeting of Cushing Country Club Wednesday evening, its membership voted 74 to 1 (and one abstaining) to sell to David Hough of Cushing.

According to sources, the purchase of Cushing Country Club assets was made with “no strings attached.”  However, it is hoped by the membership that a fresh vision for the property is on the horizon.

And although no contractural obligations were accepted by the purchaser, there are indications a thorough remodel of the property may be upcoming.

Cushing Country Club is expected to close by January 31st, but in the meantime, it is business as usual.

A formal announcement should be made in the near future.

The Cushing Country Club was chartered on April 14, 1921. At this time, the club was on record as being the third oldest country club in the state of Oklahoma.
