(Cushing, Okla.) Cushing police have now located Ryan William Mohler, W/M, 32, after he eluded police on Tuesday when he was confronted trying to pass a stolen check at the Bank of Cushing downtown.
Bank of Cushing staff immediately recognized the check was stolen and called police. When police arrived, Mohler got out of the pickup and fled from the scene. Police searched the area, but was unable to locate Mohler.
As a precautionary measure, the school at the Presbyterian Church was locked down for a short period of time after Mohler entered the playground area. The Cushing Senior Citizen’s Center was also locked down during the incident.
As of Thursday, Cushing Police are still investigating the incident and Payne County Sheriff’s department has joined in the investigation. Cushing Police would like to thank all the citizens, who provided assistance while attempting to locate Mohlar.
