(Cushing, Okla) – Progess has been made, but major grassfire is still burning northeast of Cushing. The blaze began in the vicinity of Deep Rock and Schlegel Road. Firefighters have been on the scene since approximately 12:30.
Units from eight fire departments are on the scene, including Cushing, Drumright, Ingalls, Stillwater, Ripley and others
No injuries have been reported, an ambulance is on standby in the event there are injuries or firefighters are overcome by heat.
