OSBI agents and Cushing police officers have made an arrest in a homicide that occurred Friday morning (12/2/11) Cushing. About 7 o’clock Friday morning, a person working in the area of the 100 block of west Broadway discovered a woman in critical condition with significant trauma to her body. The unidentified woman was transported to the hospital in Cushing where she later died. The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.

Agents and officers spent the day following leads. This evening, Benjamin Joel Andre Littlesun was arrested near the Wilshire Inn in Cushing on a felony warrant from Creek County. Littlesun was interviewed by agents and arrested on a complaint of murder for the death of the still unidentified woman. Agents and officers have a tentative identification of the victim, who is believed to be in her 40s. Once authorities have a positive identification, her name will be released. Littlesun was booked in to the Payne County jail on the murder complaint.

(Cushing, Okla) – Cushing Police and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating a possible homicide in Cushing.

No details have been released, however, it is believed the body of a woman was discovered in an alleyway behind the Cushing Tag Agency in the 100 Block of West Broadway.

OSBI Spokeswoman Jessica Brown told KUSH that authorities have not positively identified the victim.  Brown says the woman is a white female, believed to be in her 40’s. Brown says the victim was alive when she was found this morning, and was taken to Cushing Regional Hospital with trauma wounds, where she later died.  Brown says the woman was found by somebody working in the area.

Brown said because the woman had trauma wounds, the case is being investigated as a homicide.  Brown says the State Medical Examiner will have to determine the manner and cause of death.
