(Cushing, Okla.) According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a traffic accident occurred at State Highway 18 and State Highway 18B, in Lincoln County (Oklahoma) at 3:59 (pm) yesterday.

 Kyle Stroder (19), of Chandler was driving a Teal 1998 Ford F150 Pickup that was traveling northbound on State Highway 18 approaching the intersection and State Highway 18B. James William Howard (19), of Chandler was driving a Silver 2000 Dodge Ram Pickup that was also traveling northbound following the Teal 1998 Ford. The 1998 Ford slowed to make a turn, while the 2000 Dodge Ram Pickup attempted to pass. The 1998 Ford then made a left turn entering into the path of the 2000 Dodge Ram Pickup which resulted in the two vehicles making contact with each other.

Stroder was transported by Lincoln County EMS to St Anthony’s (Shawnee) where he was then transferred on to OU Medical where he was admitted in stable condition. Howard was transported by a private vehicle to St Anthony’s (Shawnee) where he was treated and released.

OHP reports show that seat-belts were not* in use.
