(Cushing, Okla.)- Thursday morning, just after 6:30 a.m., members of the Cushing Police Department and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics served a narcotics search warrant at 931 E. 9th Cushing.
During the search of the residence, Cushing Police Officers Chris Haywood, MPO Matthew Piatt, and Ofc. Rachel Hentges seized numerous items, which included numerous containers containing a green leafy substance, numerous firearms, numerous drug paraphernalia items and cash.
As a result of the seized items, Cushing residents Adrian Burns, 26, and his wife, Hanna Burns, 22, were taken into custody and later charged with the following: possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute within 2000 feet of a park, maintaining a dwelling where drugs are kept and sold, possession of Marijuana in presence of minor child under the age of 12, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, alter/remove label from prescription pill container and failure to affix tax stamp.
“I would like to commend Ofc. Haywood and MPO Piatt for all their hard work during this narcotics investigation”, Deputy Chief Claxton said. Deputy Chief Claxton also said, “It is due to their investigations that we were able to successfully remove these items from our streets.”
