(Tulsa)- The Mayors Cup goes to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane this year as Tulsa defeated Oral Roberts University at the Reynolds Center Saturday 50-43.
The game was the lowest scoring in the history of the 46 game series, and both teams struggled from beyond the three point line and at the free throw stripe.
Tulsa was led by Ben Uzoh, who scored 20 points, while Marcus Lewis had 11 for ORU.
The Golden Eagles return only one starter from last years NCAA Tournament team.
But Tulsa was without two of its projected starters, forward Ray Reese, out with a leg injury, and center Jerome Jordan, who suffered leg cramps.
Tulsa plays at Oklahoma State on Thursday, while ORU host John Brown Univesity on Monday.
