(Cushing, Okla.) TransCanada has joined the many donors committed to providing financial assistance to many patients requiring breast cancer treatment. Tracy Walker, Manager of the Cimarron Area, returned to Cushing after being gone for seven years and he wanted to become involved with the community as he was in the past. TransCanada understands the needs and priorities of a community are best determined by the people that live and work there.
Tracy assisted the CRH Foundation in applying for a grant in support of “Funds with a Purpose” Luncheon.
In December, Tracy presented a $1,500 check to CRH Foundation Board Members, Lee Roy Kalka, President and Tom Cummings, Vice President.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon held in October generated approximately $9,000 to be used in the Cimarron Area.
TransCanada’s goal is to build strong and vibrant communities by “building relationships as well as pipelines”. The Community Investment programs focus on three key areas: Safety, Community and Environment.
CRH Foundation Executive Director Marian Gilkerson said, “We are very appreciative of our new partnership with TransCanada. As in the past, it is our goal to be good ‘stewards of funds,"”
