Volunteers have been busy putting together Christmas baskets for families in the community.
This year 140 families submitted applications for Christmas baskets and toys. Several fund raiser events were held and donations were made to help raise money for gifts, food and toys.
Instead of a traditional Christmas basket, they will be filled with soap, toilet paper, canned food and other items to help families during Christmas break.
Besides putting together Christmas baskets, volunteers also wrapped gifts for the children.
Baskets will be picked up by the applicants on December 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Home deliveries will be made December 18 from 3 to 4 p.m. for those who are homebound.
