(Cushing)- The Cushing Tiger Basketball teams have played their final game of the season in the CHS Fieldhouse, splitting a pair of games with Tecumseh.

After winning two straight for the first time this season, the Lady Tigers dropped a close game with Tecumseh, losing 28-23. Cushing led by as many as four in the first half, and led at halftime 14-12. A scoring drought in the 3rd quarter for Cushing was the difference in the game, as the lady Tigers could manage only one three point bucket, while giving up seven points and the lead. Cushing would never regain the lead although late in the game, a three pointer would have tied the game and given Cushing a chance to go to overtime.

The varsity boys game was not as close, with Cushing giving up the opening bucket, then going on a ten point run. Philip Wilson had 23 points to lead Cushing, and Casey Youngman finished with 16 points. The Tigers went on to win 66-51.

Next action for both teams comes Friday night at Bristow.
