(Cushing) — In the final pair of games before the holiday break, Cushing and Perry split a pair of varisty games at the fieldhouse in Cushing. The Lady Tigers dropped a nine point decision in what had been a close game until late in the fourth quarter, and ended up on the short end of a 40-31 decision. Cushing led several times throughout, but could not hold on down the stretch, and Perry hit their free throws late to seal the victory.

The Cushing Boys opened a 12-1 lead in the first quarter, and never looked back, leading by 20 at one point before the Maroons were able to close the gap to ten at games end. Cushing won 64-54.

Both teams won’t play again until January 4th, when they will travel to Blackwell.
