(Cushing) – The Cushing Tiger Varsity basketball teams opened the season with a pair of wins over Blackwell on Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers routed Blackwell 44-22 and did so with three freshman in the starting line up.
Cushing’s Boys won in overtime, 55-46. The game was tied at 43 at the end of regulation, and in the four minute overtime, The Tigers allowed only one 2 point bucket and a free throw.
Cushing doesn’t play at home again until 2010. The Tigers will play next at Mannford, Dec. 1st, and in the Mannford Tournament December 7-12.
The next home game will be January 12th against Tecumseh.
