(Okmulgee) — Jordan Bush scored 16 points in the first half, and added 3 more in the second half to help Cushing defeat Okmulgee on Tuesday. Despite the sixteen first half points, Cushing trailed at half 27-26, and had given up a nine point lead. The second half remained close throughout, and Philip Wilson scored 10 in the second half, including a go ahead three pointer with about 4 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The final score was 52-48.
Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers lost to Okmulgee 50-43, despite four three pointers from Krista Smith, who finished with 12 to lead Cushing. Alex Baumert and Jade Watson added eight points each, but too many turnovers doomed the Lady Tigers.
Next action for both teams comes Friday night at Mannford. Cushing will play Saturday at Perry.
