“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”                          Proverbs 18:21

Would not it be wonderful that if you picked up a virus on your computer, it actually improved the performance of the computer instead of tearing it down.  We spend a good deal of money on computer programs to protect us from damaging computer viruses only for someone to create a new virus that the software can not detect.

The computer virus is designed to tear down not build up.  How often do we infect others with a virus that tears down?  Our words are powerful and when they are used in a harmful way, they tear down and do not build up.

Jesus wants us to build one another up.  He especially wants us to build up children not tear them down.  What ways can you build up someone else today?  Children that hear the words “I love you” every day do better in school than those who do not hear those words.  Seek out someone to build up today.

Prayer for the day: God, remind me of Your beautiful creation.
