(Cushing, Okla.)
For the past three years John Cooper of the Red Dirt Rangers has played host at the Cushing Country Club, bringing some of the best and most interesting musicians from around the state of Oklahoma to share the stage every third (or fourth) Thursday of the month.
With the ownership of the CCC changing hands, Cooper is bringing a stellar group of performers to this epic event. At last report, the line-up will include the Red Dirt Rangers, Tom Skinner, Rick Reiley, Craig Skinner, John Williams, Gene Collier and Monica Taylor. Cooper told KUSH, more may be included.
The public is invited to attend this night of musical magic. There will be a $5 cover charge, drink specials and a great buffet that will include pork loin, chicken fried steak and more.
The buffet will open at 6:00 p.m. with music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are preferred but not required. To make reservations, call the CCC at 918-225-0811.
According to Cooper, the owners are interested in continuing the Third Thursday series once some repairs have been made, hopefully by late spring/early summer.
You will not want to miss this “final musical blowout to celebrate three fantastic years and to thank everyone who has made this series so successful.” Cooper said.
