Folks lucky enough to get an invititation to the “preview” of  Cushing’s newest eatery – “Big Rob’s,” were treated to a smorgasbord of down home cookin’.  Chicken fried steak, salad,  mashed potatoes and gravy,  mouth watering rib eye steaks and of course – his tasty barbecue, were just some of the items sampled Tuesday evening.  Big Rob’s, located at 2320 E. Main (formerly Taste of Tuscany) will open its doors to the public Wednesday, June 24th at 11 a.m.  

Known best for his barbecue, Big Rob had his eyes set on the Cushing location months ago when he first heard it might be available.  “I wanted to offer folks a nice place to come in and sit down to enjoy some good food.”   Not something folks could do at his drive-through location in Drumright.

A jovial sort, Big Rob minces no words when it comes to his food.  “If someone doesn’t like it – I’ll buy it,” he said confidently.

Chances are that won’t happen, though.  From his hand cut steaks to his secret barbecue seasonings, quality is of utmost importance to Big Rob.  “I want people to come in and enjoy themselves,” he said.  “I want them to be a part of the Big Rob family.” 

Stop in and welcome Big Rob to town.  And while you’re at it, grab yourself a bite to eat.  You’ll be glad you did!
