(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision occurred on Monday, June 8th (2015) at 2:55 (pm) approximately 6/10 of a mile east of Fairgrounds on McElroy (1.5 east and 1 north of Stillwater) in Payne County.
Briana Shelby Meeks (19) of Stillwater was driving a 2010 Honda westbound on McElroy and was adjusting the radio when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right. She then over corrected and entered into a broad slide departng the roadway left, and rolling approximately two (2) times before coming to rest in a creek bottom.
Meeks was transported by LifeNet to Stillwater Medical Center where she reportedly was admitted in stable condition with head, arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.
The DPS report shows the cause of the collision to be in attention.
