Tara Kanchana Robbins, age 13, passed away on Monday March 31, 2014 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Cushing.  Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Cushing, Ok.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Tara was born on May 3, 2000 in Calcutta, India.  She was adopted by Wesley and Cindy (Johnson) Robbins just a few months after being born.  Tara grew up in Arkansas for the first nine years of her life, then she and her parents moved to Cushing in 2010.  Tara was an active Cushing Middle School student, being involved in softball, basketball and golf.  She loved to laugh, being outdoors, and especially taking care of her cats, dogs, donkeys and cows.  Tara attended Life Church in Stillwater.  She loved wearing her Beats and listening to her favorite music.  Tara enjoyed art, swimming and snowboarding.  She was recently taking horseback riding lessons.

She is survived by her loving parents, Wesley and Cindy Robbins of the home, maternal grandparents Ed and Dorothy Johnson of Cushing, paternal grandparent Bill Robbins of Los Alamos, N.M., Aunts and Uncles Paul and Terri Bell of Cushing, Cathy Stallings of Los Alamos, N.M., Ellen West of Albuquerque, N.M., numerous cousins, and friends from many states.

Tara was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Norma Jean Rodgers.
