For the third year, students from Mr. Tuttle’s Senior Economics class put on a community Dodge Ball
Tournament for area children. This year on March 27 over 150 children participated, representing every elementary in the district.
Organizer Bryan Stump reported, “This event was a major success.
Each year the Dodge Ball Tournament draws in a larger crowd. We chose to hold it in a bigger venue, the High School Field house, and the place still filled up.”
This year there were three age group divisions. Drumright Dental Center donated cash prizes, $100 for the winning team in each division. Funds are donated to the athletic departments of the winning schools. Numerous area businesses also sponsored this event through arena advertising.
Check out the photos on this page, above this story, to see the three teams that dodged the ball and took cash prizes back to their schools showing a lot of team spirit!
