(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A fatality collision occurred on September 7th (2018) at approximately 3:52 pm on US177 at the intersection of Boomer Road, approximately 1.25 miles south of Stillwater, in Payne County.
Rebecca Leeann Brooner (20) of Stillwater was driving a 2004 Honda Accord when she failed to yield at a stop sign, pulling out in front of a 2005 Dodge 3500 pickup that was driven by a juvenile male (17) from Perkins.
Brooner was pronounced dead at the scene. The juvenile male was not injured according to the report.
According to the DPS report the collision was caused by a failure to yield from a stop sign.
