(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A collision occurred at 2:33 (pm) on June 1st (2015) on Canyon Road .1 miles east of Rose Road (5 miles east of Stillwater) in Payne County.
Gary Driver (45) of Stillwater was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on Canyon Road when he apparently had a heart attack. His Cavalier departed the roadway to the north and struck a tree.
Driver was transported to Stillwater Medical Center and pronounced dead from an apparent heart attack.
The DPS report shows the drivers’ condition as still under investigation and the cause of the collision to be medical.
