(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man — who allegedly said that he sells methamphetamine to help pay for his rent — has been freed on $100,000 bail pending a Feb. 25 preliminary hearing on his felony charges.

Agustin Gabriel Pulido, 36 — in whose home police found $2,434 — could be given a life prison term if convicted of possessing methamphetamine and marijuana within 2,000 feet of Stillwater High School with intent to distribute, court records show.

Pulido could be given an additional 10-year prison term if convicted of being a felon in possession of a Raven .25-caliber pistol.

Pulido could be given an additional five-year prison term if convicted of possessing a Colt Mustang Plus II .380 caliber handgun from which the serial number was removed. He could receive a one-year jail term if convicted of possessing drug paraphernalia.

According to court documents, Pulido was convicted in 2000 in Santa Barbara County, California, of having prohibited firearms, for which he was given 16 months.

Pulido was also convicted in 2012 in Yell County, Arkansas, of a fourth offense of driving while impaired, for which he was given 12 months, court records show.

In his Payne County case, Pulido was arrested at 8:22 p.m. on New Year’s Day after a search warrant was served at his residence located 1,423 feet from Stillwater High School, court records show.

At the time of his arrest, Pulido was in possession of $2,434 in cash, which a prosecutor is seeking to have forfeited to the state, court records show.

“Pulido, a convicted felon, stated that he knew the two handguns were in his residence, and that he found them approximately four days ago.

“He went on to state that one of the guns had the serial number filed off of it. Pulido stated that he sells methamphetamine to help pay for his rent,” Stillwater Police Officer Adam Elliott alleged in an affidavit.

In addition to drug paraphernalia in the living room, police located in the bedroom .7 grams of methamphetamine on a bed near a meth pipe, digital scales, 78.4 grams of marijuana in a clear sack, 113 grams of marijuana in a white sack, two baggies with meth residue and additional meth pipes, the affidavit alleged.
