(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man was killed on Memorial Day weekend when his tractor rolled over on him, Payne County Sheriff’s Captain Kevin Woodward said today.
James Beall, 38, who was alone at the time of the 12:14 p.m. Saturday accident at 8704 E. 19th, east of Stillwater, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical technicians, Woodward said.
“This is very tragic. Our condolences go out to the family,” the sheriff’s captain said.
“Basically, the wife and stepson had not heard from the gentleman for a while. They went out and found the tractor had rolled over on him.
“He was pinned underneath when they arrived,” Woodward said.
“The tractor, a John Deere 3308, has a brush hog and front-end loader,” he said.
