(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Stillwater man was charged today with embezzling merchandise and money with a total value of $1,794.93 from Best Buy on N. Perkins Road between Aug. 10 and Nov. 12 while he was employed there.
If convicted, Garrick Robert Prelesnick, 21, could be jailed for one year and fined $1,000, court records show.
Prelesnick was entrusted with merchandise and monies received in return for the purchase of merchandise, but failed to deliver the monies to his employer and/or removed the merchandise from his employer’s premises, the felony charge alleges.
