(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man, who has not been arrested, has been charged with using his cell phone to see a man’s genitals in a restroom on the Oklahoma State University campus.

James M. Hartman, 30, has been notified by letter by the District Attorney’s Office to appear in court Nov. 25 or a warrant will be issued for his arrest on a charge of using electronic equipment for a lewd or lascivious purpose.

Hartman has been accused of “positioning himself in a stall in a men’s restroom of the Math Sciences building on the Oklahoma State University campus and extending his cellular telephone,” to see a man’s naked genitals on Sept. 30, according to the charge filed last week.

If convicted of the felony, Hartman could be given a five-year prison term and a $500 fine, court records show.
