(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man accused of raping his 14-year-old babysitter twice at his rural residence has been jailed on $200,000 bail with an order to appear in court on Jan. 5.
Donald David Dickinson, 29, who was arrested the day before Thanksgiving, could be given a 30-year prison term if convicted of two counts of second-degree rape.
During an interview at the Saville Center for Child Advocacy in Stillwater on Nov. 22, the day of the alleged sexual activity, the under-age girl made disclosures, according to an affidavit by Payne County Sheriff’s Deputy Tomm Edwards.
The girl said “she had been texting with Donald earlier in the day when they decided for her to meet him in a park near her house,” the affidavit alleged.
The girl said “she told her mom she was going to be hanging out with friends,” but instead met him at a park near her house before going to his residence, the affidavit alleged.
Regarding the alleged sexual activity, she said “she didn’t tell him to stop because she thought he might get rough,” the affidavit alleged.
As a result of the forensic interview at the Saville Center, the deputy and Investigator Larry Kitchel talked to Dickinson on the day before Thanksgiving, the affidavit said.
“I asked Dickinson to tell me about the last time he had been in contact with his babysitter,” the deputy wrote in his affidavit.
Dickinson said he had picked up the girl at a park near her house after they had been in contact by text messages, the affidavit alleged.
Dickinson said he took the girl to his residence where the sexual activity occurred on Nov. 22, the affidavit alleged.
