Stillwater man accused of possessing child sexual abuse material

  STILLWATER — A 44-year-old Stillwater man has been ordered held on $50,000 bond pending an Aug. 3 court appearance at which he can seek a preliminary hearing on a felony charge of possessing child sexual abuse material on a thumb drive on a device seized on a search warrant on June 30 and analyzed on another search warrant on July 1.

   At the time, Brandon Joell Dylewski was already in the Payne County Jail following his June 23 arrest on a charge of domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor, according to an affidavit by Stillwater Police Detective Stephanie Wheeler.

  During an interview with Detectives Mary Kellison and Wheeler, “Brandon admitted to having and viewing child sexual abuse material. He stated the content would be located on his devices,” the affidavit alleged.

  After Detective Kellison analyzed the thumb drives on July 1, it was discovered that “on one of the thumb drives, there were 12 CSAM files (child sexual abuse material) consisting of prepubescent and pubescent females ranging in age from approximately 8 to 13 years,” the affidavit alleged.

  Dylewski had become a suspect following a cyber tip on April 20 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that “Microsoft (Bing) reported that an individual had possessed/manufactured child sexual abuse material,” the affidavit alleged.

  “On Dec. 25, 2025, a Bing user completed a Bing Visual Search using child sexual abuse material,” on an account associated with an IP address identified on April 27 as belonging to Dylewski, the affidavit alleged.

   If convicted of willfully possessing child sexual abuse material, Dylewski could be given a 20-year prison term plus a $25,000 fine, court records show.
