(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man — who had been arrested seven times in just over a year — avoided a jury trial this week on drug and gun charges punishable by a maximum penalty of life in prison plus 10 years by accepting a plea bargain for a 10-year prison term, along with concurrent sentences on all of his other charges.

Aaron Kyle Anderson, 31, who had been free on $100,000 bond, pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to distribute, having a .9 mm semi-automatic pistol and a .25 caliber pistol during the commission of his drug crime, and possessing drug paraphernalia, all on April 4, 2018, in Stillwater.

Anderson also pleaded guilty to driving while his license was suspended and transporting a loaded .357 magnum pistol, both at McElroy and Brush Creek Road on Jan. 10, 2018, in Stillwater, for which he was given concurrent jail terms of one year and six months.

Anderson also pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine and oxycodone along with driving on a suspended license at 19th and Brush Creek Road on Sept. 8, 2017, in Stillwater, for which he was given two concurrent one-year jail terms.

Anderson also pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a credit card on July 12, 2017, that had been issued to a woman by a bank in Stillwater, for which he was given a concurrent 30-day jail term.

Anderson also pleaded guilty to breaking and entering a residence in the 2800 block of E. Raintree on June 23, 2017, in Stillwater, for which he was given a concurrent one-year jail term.

Anderson also pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, having a loaded .40 caliber firearm in the commission of a drug felony, possessing a loaded .20 gauge sawed off shotgun, and having drug paraphernalia, all on June 14, 2017, in Stillwater, for which he was given two concurrent 10-year prison terms, along with a concurrent two-year prison term and a concurrent one-year jail term.

Anderson also pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, concealing stolen property described as a guitar, an Xbox, a 9 mm pistol and a .270 rifle, possessing a loaded Ross revolver during the commission of those felonies, operating a mobile radio capable of receiving transmission made by law enforcement while he was committing crimes, and having drug paraphernalia described as digital scales, packaging materials and pipes, all on Jan. 26,2017, in Stillwater, for which he was given concurrent prison terms of 10 years, five years, two years and one year.
