(Cushing, Okla.) Cushing letter carriers, along with approximately 140 other Oklahoma cities’ carriers, will once again help “Stamp Out Hunger” by collecting canned and non-perishable food items from households on their route this Saturday, May 9th.
One in six Oklahomans will struggle with hunger each day.
You can help by placing a plastic bag or box of canned foods next to your mailbox. The letter carriers will do the rest! Donations can also be dropped off at the Post Office in Cushing and all other participating Post Offices.
The “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive is part of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Feeding Hope and Letter Carriers’ Food Drive, which is a one-day food drive held in 140 cities in central and western Oklahoma. In Cushing, donations will benefit Cushing Community Food Pantry.
Other participating cities in our area include: Bristow, Chandler, Cleveland, Guthrie, Okema, Pawnee, Perkins, Perry, Stillwater, Stroud, and Yale.
