(Cushing) — Cushing Assistant City Manager Steve Spears will become the city’s interim City Manager effective February 2nd. Cushing City Commissioners voted last night to appoint Spears the Interim City Manager during a meeting last night.
The action follows the resignation of City Manager Andrew Katz, effective February 1st. Katz has been in Cushing a little more than three years, and is leaving for a similar job in New Jersey.
Spears has served as interim City Manager twice before, after the departure of Rob Collings, and after Jana Howell was fired as City Manager. Spears is Cushing’s City Engineer.
