Marilyn Duff has been talking about it, Khris Fowler has been talking about it, Michelle Music has really been talking about it…and Shylinn Lucas almost talked about it…from Lions Club to the Donna and Molly Show, everybody’s talking about SOUP THYME!

This Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, local businesses will be ladling up some of their favorite soup recipes from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. to be sampled and enjoyed by those purchasing 2011 DCRA Soup Thyme cups.

This is the second year for Soup Thyme.  The first ever Soup Thyme took place last year in warmer months and was very successful. However, this year organizers decided winter might be a better time to serve soup, therefore the date was changed with the hope the fundraiser would be even more successful.

Soup Thyme participants are Beasley Technology, Cushing Citizen, Edward Jones Investments, Khris Fowler Insurance, Mila’s Fabric, Show and Tell Times,  Stu’s Music, and Uptown Girls.  Soup Thyme cups are available for purchase at any of these sponsors for just $10 each.  The proceeds will go to DCRA (Downtown Cushing Revitilization Association) for the upkeep of Centennial Park and any other DCRA projects.

Each soup will be given a taste test by this year’s Chef judge – Darrel Williamson, owner of Papa D’s.  The winner will receive Cushing Cash.

Get your bowls and spoons ready!  It’s almost Soup Thyme!
