(Cushing, Okla) – Cushing police were sent to the Maveric Mini-Mart, also known as Little 9, 503 E. 9th Street, after an unknown white male came into the store and ran out with a 30 pack of beer.

Cushing police have identified the suspect as rural Cushing resident Joshua Harris, WM, 27 years of age. Harris was identified after police posted a picture on the Nixle system and sought public help.

Harris has been formally charged with larceny of merchandise from a retailer less than $500.00. Harris has been given notice to appear in court later this month.

Chief Terry Brannon said, “Harris being identified by more than one citizen who had the courage to call us lends credibility to our desire to continue to inform the public and seek their help.” “The initial investigative work by Officer Rachel Hentges and subsequent follow-up investigation by Detective Adam Harp were also significant factors in our solving this crime,” Brannon said.

Anyone with information about a crime or suspicious activity can report it to the police department at (918) 225-1212 or www.CushingPD.com. In an emergency dial 911.
